Spiritual Warfare in the 3rd Millennium – THE CHURCH MUST RISE UP NOW!

Introduction

We are living in some of the most critical days in History with an increasing onslaught of the ‘works of the darkness/evil’ and the climaxing of an age – there is a ‘war’ on for the minds of people, with increasing intensity for control; I suspect the devil knows his time is short.

We are being bombarded with all kinds of lies, deceptions, witchcraft activities and evil supernatural manifestations across the world at the highest level of governments. It is for this reason this material has been prepared to support Christians; to use their Authority to resist these powers! Because of this onslaught we need to understand the responsibility of the Church to rise in wayfaring prayer.

Through my early days of ministry, I found that we were always in prayer, spiritual warfare and declaration of the Word of God due to the constant conflict of demonic powers/manifestations.

These ‘days’ were/are not always understood; however now as it was then it is proving to be a time of contention for the souls of the lost; with many needing deliverance and to be set free from addictions and lifestyle habits.

Time has moved on, today we see and hear little of the need for Spiritual warfare in the Church! This does not mean the devil has ‘gone away’, or the church has lost its focus. Has the Church become ‘comfortable in its environment;’ one of respect and order, driven by timelines and organisational structure that minimise the flow of the Spirit and conviction of the Word!

There is nothing new about these challenges as throughout time there have been ups and downs, visitations of God, and revivals – but can we learn anything from them that we can commit to, which would allow the Church to stand as the answer to societies challenges and ‘often’ corrupt leadership.

I believe there is, which calls for prayer with a fresh and renewed sense of purpose and conviction that Jesus Christ is the answer to the cry of man, the Salvation of man and the restraining of the devil.

One very active force manifested throughout the world today is; demonic madness, witchcraft and evil spiritual manifestations, along with deception that compromises the Word of God and the zeal of Gods people for the works of the Kingdom of God.

America was recently humiliated throughout the world with a display of an ancient goddess portrayed on the Capital Building in Washington DC – goddess of death over America:

Recently (Aug 12, 2015) an elaborate lights show, "Projecting Change," was beamed onto the south side of the Empire State Building in New York City to raise awareness about wildlife extinction. Louie Psihoyos (Oceanic Preservation Society) partnered with Travis Threlkel (Obscura Digital) to portray colorful images of birds, snakes, and land and sea animals over a space of 33 floors, roughly 365 by 185 feet in dimension using 40 stacked, 20,000-lumen projectors.

ago, could never have foreseen the poignancy of the show's timing to current human events. Most peculiar was their choice to conclude their show with an image personifying death:

Our focus must be on the Kingdom of God with an understanding; that its function within us and the Local Church is to demonstrate the Power of God in this evil and perverse generation. The Kingdom of God was ‘sown’ a seed, (Mark 4) being as a Mustard Seed’ in size, which would/has grown greater and greater over time. This Kingdom manifests itself with the power of God and has its outworking within our communities. With understanding comes application, opposing the works of darkness, resisting the works of the devil and demonstrating Gods Kingdom on Earth!

We are dealing with real forces, and while we do not wish to focus greatly on them we must see our responsibly is to “advance” the Kingdom of God with the hope that “our world” will be changed and people will find Christ as their Saviour/Redeemer – Eternity is at stake here!

To understand the background and importance for the Kingdom of God, we want to consider briefly the existence of our adversary. We should not allow ourselves to fear our adversary but in understanding its existence we can take our responsibility in overcoming it by the authority given to us!

Witchcraft, deception. Evil, lies and corrupt practices are being exposed across the world today revealing that there has always been evil at work but it has been covered up! – today many things are being exposed showing us the evil, also the Christian Church is being challenged with its message and purpose like never before! I believe this is the Time for the Christian Church to rise and resist the works of darkness, bringing Light to the World and Salvation to the Lost!

Introduction to Witchcraft - manifested in many ways

• Full moon activities
• Masons – secret society
• Harry Potter – (half-blood prince)
• Witch wise – white witches - other
• Broom used to sweep clean an area / clearing and area – (symbolic)

Areas to be concerned about

• Spiritual abuse – dominance
• Witchcraft – séance (Webster's New World Thesaurus, divination, ritual, session, meeting;
• Manipulation

• Hear the Word of God
• Choose who they will serve
• Rebuild the Alters (broken down)
• Commitment to sacrifice unto the Lord
• Accept and return to the Lord as their God
• Reject the false gods and their prophets

Witchcraft is Contrary to Gods purpose

1 Samuel 15:22-30:

And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the Lord, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the Lord.

And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.

And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent.

Witchcraft - Greek (pharmakeus); medication ("pharmacy"), i.e. (by extension) magic (lit or fig): - sorcery, witchcraft. ** from pharmakon (a drug, i.e. spell-giving potion); a druggist ("pharmacist") or poisoner, i.e. a magician: - sorcerer.

Rebellion - Hebrew; from (marah); bitterness, i.e. (figurative) rebellion; concrete bitter, or rebellious: - bitter, (most) rebel (-lion, -lious). ** marah, maw-raw', to be (causative make) bitter (or unpleasant); (figurative) to rebel (or resist; causative to provoke): - bitter, change, be disobedient, disobey, grievously, provocation, provoke (-ing), (be) rebel (against, -lious).

1 Samuel 28:7-8

Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
