Now there's a scripture that should continuously get our attention as it spells out the fact that there will be Christians present during the tribulation in those days. Verse 21 says...." For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." The following verse reads...." And except those days should be shortened, there should be no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened."
This isn't an article about whether or not the Elect will be present during The Tribulation, I'm personally not interested in arguments, I'm much more interested in the facts and so I think that we should be prepared for what ever may come our way. Jesus made it clear that at his second coming it would be as it was in Noah's day where people were about their usual business with obviously little care as to the fact that Noah was constructing a seriously big vessel. Noah was a just man, perfect in his generations so I personally believe that He would have been well known simply for the fact that he would have had excellent morals. Now if a man with good morals is working on a project such as Noah was it should ring alarm bells for those people surrounding him but no they were unprepared, asleep as it were, and as a result they payed the most costly price which was their life.
My question is as follows. What are we doing to prepare for what ever may arise ? There are many scriptures that point to Christians being present during The Tribulation such as Daniel ch 7 v 25. "And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of a time."
If the saints are to be worn out by the Antichrist well then they must be present to be worn out. As i said before I'm not interested in an argument...only the facts and I am concentrating on being as prepared as I can be for what ever may come. It is more of a concern to me for those that I talk to in the Church that are going about there business under the belief that they will be whisked away by the Lord just as the heat is turned up. God did not remove Daniel from the lions den...God made a way through Daniels tribulation by closing the lions mouths. God did not remove Noah from the flood...God made a way through Noah's tribulation by telling him to build an ark. God is the same yesterday today and for ever, God's ways are perfect, God will not change his ways, God will not remove us from a coming tribulation, he will make a way through it for us. Recently my Wife and I had dinner with a friend that doesn't give much thought to this discussion, during the dinner our friend told me to lighten up and enjoy life as I was touching on some recent events in regards to end times and yes I will admit that this topic certainly interests me more than the cricket or football so perhaps I dwell on it more than most, my reply to our friend was this. "So tell me friend when the man of sin is revealed and all this goes down what will you do?" Her reply was this. "I don't know I will probably curl up in the fetal position." Now no harm was meant during this discussion and at her comment about the fetal position we all laughed, however it is an underlying theme running through the Church today that not to many ark's are being built, not to many virgins are adding oil to their lamps and it seems not to many people are preparing for what may come.
A lot of people are building their own kingdoms and burying their heads in the sand.
