Be A Light To Shine

Have you thought about the words of
Jesus, when He said to follow me?
Take up your cross, deny yourself and choose to live
righteously?

Does it mean a little compromise, a
little white lie?
Does it mean a little fun for now, Jesus step aside?
Does it mean a little giving and a whole lot of keeping?
Or a little bit of lust crawling through the eye?
Does it mean a little horror movie, then a few clean
G’s?
Or never mind the rude scenes, it’s only reality.
Does it mean a little witchcraft screened on T.V?
Don’t worry, he’s the good guy, it won’t affect
me!
Does it mean a few nasty thoughts and some gossip here and
there?
Then a whole lot of fake love when the person comes near?
Does it mean a dusty bible left on the shelf?
A little prayer now and then to justify all self?
Does it mean laughing with crude people, or joining in on their
games?
Then asking for forgiveness, ready to do it again?
Does it mean exposing the body, wearing fewer clothes?
Can’t look too old fashioned, gotta keep those boys on
their toes!

Jesus said be holy, a shining light
in the dark.
Be in this world but not of it, let the truth abide in your
heart.
Expecting persecution, Rejoice! And stand strong!
Run the race without compromise,
For His return will not be long!
He’s coming for a pure bride, to meet on the narrow
road
Many are called but few are chosen.
Prepare to stand alone.
This world is only temporary, as hard as it may be,
Choose this day to kindle your flame
AND LET THE WHOLE WORLD SEE!
