Marketing the Mark

Throughout the many years he spent investigating, reporting
and preaching on the subject of biblical prophecy in the "End Times", Barry
Smith often spoke of the concept of gradualism. Gradualism as its name suggests
"gradually" introduces new ideas and concepts over time.

Governments and other bodies that have tried to introduce
sometimes radical and sweeping change were often set back by the reaction of the
people. Our Australian subscribers will well remember the efforts of the
Australian Federal Government in the mid 1980's as they attempted to introduce
a national ID card; and the uproar that followed resulted in the abandoning of
the project?

How do you think it would go if the Governments of the world
suddenly began announcing the implantation of electronic devices into the bodies
of their citizens? To coin a phrase it would go down like a lead balloon. This
publication is obviously interested in the development of electronic technology
which makes way for a cashless society within a one world Government. You do not
have to look too hard to find examples -– and slowly we are being conditioned
to accept the inevitable just as God's word said.

Revelation 13:16-–18 "And he causeth all, both small and
great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or
in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the
mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let
him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number
of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."

Microchips: A solution to kidnapping

From the New Zealand Herald 4/9/2002 we read about a
British scientist who says he has been inundated with requests by panicked
parents to implant a tracking microchip into their children after the recent
murders of two 10-year-olds in a quiet English town.

Cybernetics expert Kevin Warwick, from Reading University
near London, believes he can allay parent's fears with a tiny microchip that
may prevent an abduction from becoming a murder.

The controversial robotics scientist gained fame in Britain
after he wired his own nervous system to a computer in an experiment he hopes
will eventually give paralysed people more control over their own bodies.

One family, the Duvals, have offered their 11-year-old
daughter, Danielle, as the first guinea pig to test the electronic tag, which
Warwick said he hopes to perfect before Christmas.

The Fox News Channel, 29/07/2002 reported the benefits
of a surveillance system which would assist parents to keep track of their
children. From little ones prone to running off in crowd's to big kids hitting
the road for the first time, a bunch of new devices claim to help parents keep
an "eye" on children -– even when they are not around.

The most controversial of these gadgets is an under-the skin
personal location device from Applied Digital Solutions. Using Global
Positioning Satellite technology, a microchip surgically implanted in the body
finds children and notifies the parents of their whereabouts.

ADS says the device, which is the size of the wristwatch-face
and may become even smaller, could be used to find kidnapped children, locate
young kids who wander away from parents and track teens who participate in
at-risk behaviour.

"With an implanted device, the child doesn't have to
remember to wear it. It can't be lost or stolen or stripped away. And it's
totally concealed," company spokesman Matthew Cossolotto said.

A prototype will be available later this year. In the mean
time, ADS already manufactures two similar products: Verichip and Digital Angel.

One famous parent, America's Most Wanted host John
Walsh, whose 6-year-old son was kidnapped and killed in 1981, said, on a
recent episode of Larry King Live, that GPS could be "lifesaving".
"It's a brilliant idea. I wish someone would develop it because, number one,
time is crucial when a child is missing and you could locate them by the chip,"
he said. "And even if you weren't lucky enough to locate them, finding the
body is crucial for two things: the ending of the search of the parents and
helping with the prosecution case."

Be aware that the Bible makes it very clear that the
antichrist will deceive many in the last days. Receiving any form of marking in
your hand or forehead could seal your fate forever.

Revelation 14:9-–11 And the third angel followed them,
saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image, and
receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the
wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of
his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the
presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of
their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor
night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of
his name.
