Who is the enemy?

Political Correctness has gone crazy as may well be seen in
the Christchurch Press, January 31, 2002. We quote in part: "President
George W. Bush tried in his State of the Union address to reach out to a
skeptical Islamic world, saying the United States had a duty to 'lead the
world toward the values that will bring lasting peace'.

Addressing Congress, Mr Bush said his leadership on the path
to peace would be guided by values such as religious tolerance, respect for
women, and the rule of law, which he said were shared by Muslims and Americans
alike..." (emphasis added).

Strangely enough on Monday September 17, 2001, The Daily
Telegraph had a headline: "On behalf of America's Muslims, I apologise",
and on the same page was another article. The headline was: "A religion that
sanctions violence -– Glossing over the realities of Islam will help no one,
argues Patrick Sookhdeo..."

As there is so much confusion as to whether it is terrorism
or the Islam religion that the Americans are fighting, we felt it wise to pick
up as much information and opinion as we could on the subject.

On January 24, 2002, we read an article by the Iraqi
government columnist, Sami Mahdi who wrote: "Little Bush should know what his
father never learned -– Iraq will not submit to American arrogance. It abhors
conceit and terrorism... A terrorist manner, even if effective with others, will
not be effective with Iraq..."

On February 5, 2002, an Arab-Moslem writer writes: "If the
American president has lost his wits because of the acts of one man such as bin
Laden -– the leader of an organization whose members do not exceed a few
hundred, what state will he be in should he face an alliance of Iran, Iraq,
North Korea, Syria, Hamas, (Islamic), Jihad, and Hizbullah -– all of which have
a rich history of struggle, wars... and 'frightening' experience in carrying
out operations abroad?

The American president is playing with fire. He is like an
unbalanced man given a rifle, about to go out into the street to start shooting
at passersby. Therefore, the intelligent people of the world must hasten to stop
him, and take away his gun before it is too late...

The axis of evil in the world is not Iran, Iraq and North
Korea; it is America and Israel..."

Then on January 29, 2002, a liberal Moslem University Dean of
Studies, in his speech, said:

"Studies of the Muslim faith for example, focus on the 'group
of those who will be saved' (i.e. the Muslims)... while all the other groups
belong in Hell. When a student learns this, he begins to believe that he holds
the absolute truth, and that all the others are deceivers and ignoramuses. He is
educated that way...

If Allah had destroyed the Christians, the Muslim preacher
would not have a microphone to preach with, or the air conditioner or the car he
so enjoys..."

In the following article on January 14, 2002, a brave Moslem
woman, Dr Sahr Muhammad Hatem, living in Saudi Arabia, was quoted, as saying:

"...'We have become a society completely subjugated by
those who speak in the name of religion. With a mentality like this, what could
we do to those who say that Islam is the solution, without (actually) offering
any solution?

Anyone who doesn't like it holds his tongue, or retires to
a corner in fear or embarrassment. If, however, anyone with any sense remaining
dares to use it, his fate is determined by one of two (groups):

(1.) by the group (of Muslim Brotherhood clerics); if he is
lucky they only separate him from his wife and if he is unlucky, his blood is
permitted. (2.) by another group (the Jihad organization and other like it)...
who kill him immediately, as in the case of Dr. Farag Fouda, who was at the time
the only one to stand up while we looked on in fear or embarrassment.

We began to turn to those who claim to be clerics, to rule
for us on matters of medicine, engineering, space, and all the life sciences.
Life moves on, (yet), we are stuck.

We have begun to live an imaginary life that exists only in
our heads, while the reality around us is entirely different. This is the
(personality) split which engendered people like bin Laden. Since reality
differs from (the picture) in his mind, he sets out as a Mujaheed; whether he
kills or is killed, he wins...

What do they care? Every one of them thinks that he has a
divine mandate. The outcome is that they have distorted our lives -– which were
distorted even before then -– (and) our tolerant religion, and set us at odds
with the world. How long will this damage to the lives of Muslims everywhere in
the world continue? The solution is the Islam that was taught us by the Prophet
of this nation -– an Islam of tolerance -– and not the Islam of those who
control our media.'...

Ahmad Othman of London expressed a view similar to that of Dr
Hatem, in two letters that appeared in the paper. In the first, written just
after September 11, he wrote,

'...As usual, we always blame others, and refuse to
acknowledge our mistakes. There can be no doubt whatsoever that all those who
participated in the World Trade Center operation were our youth, and our sons.
They carried out this operation thinking, mistakenly, that they were sacrificing
their souls for the Arab nation and the Islamic faith. (No one) can deny that we
-– not America -– taught them these things with our media, our schools, and
everything we do. We taught the youth in our lands to hate America; we taught
them the sanctity of martyrdom (in dying) as we kill our enemies...'"
(emphasis added).

Then on January 29, 2002, we received portions of a speech,
as given by Yasser Arafat:

"In an address on Saturday to a rally called to show
support for their beleaguered national symbol, Arafat told the Palestinian crowd
they were 'facing a military crisis, but despite all this, no one has
complained of the suffering. They have said, "Allah is great, and jihad,
jihad, jihad",'

'To Jerusalem we will march -– millions of martyrs. And, O
Allah, Master of the Universe, please let me be one of the martyrs,' shouted
Arafat to the adoring throng gathered outside his headquarters in Ramallah..."

On Monday January 14, 2002, another article was sent to us
from America entitled, "Public schools embrace Islam -– a shocker -– As
children return to school this week, following the Christmas break, 7^th
graders in a growing number of public schools, who are not permitted to wear a
cross or speak the name of Jesus, will be required to attend an intensive three
week course on Islam; a course in which students are mandated to learn the
tenets of Islam, study the important figures of the faith, wear a robe, adopt a
Muslim name and stage their own Jihad...

Everything Christian is shown in a negative light, with
events such as the Inquisition, the Salem witch-hunts, etc. highlighted in bold,
black type...

Nor is any mention made of the way Muslims treat their own
people, cutting off hands, feet and heads for even the slightest violations of
the Islamic tenets of faith, or the shocking way they treat their women.

The 'miraculous' events leading up to the Koran, the 'holy'
book of Islam, and other 'revelations' are presented as factual...

For example, the representation that Gabriel the archangel
came to Muhammad (Note: not believed to have come to Muhammad) and
dictated to him the Koran, a whole new revelation and idea that would surpass
all other religions.

What needs to be explained by the Houghton-Mifflin
historians, is why Gabriel (which translates, 'Man of God'), the archangel
of both Christians and Jews, who was a part of all of God's plan, who
interpreted for Daniel the vision of the ram and the he-goat, and comforted him
after his prayer with the prophecy of the 'seventy weeks' and who heralded
the good tidings by declaring the coming of the predicted Messiah, would at that
point in time and history, call on Muhammad, one who did not believe in Jehovah
God or Jesus as the Son of God, and 'reveal' to him the words of the pagan
god Allah to lead his people with. How's that again?

It would be most interesting to have the Houghton-Mifflin
experts explain what possessed Gabriel to turn on the God of Abraham and Jesus
Christ to lend assistance to what would become a murderous cult with no regard
for life, the very antithesis of Christianity. There is a deplorable lack of
information here...

If there were an authentic history, the textbook would
explain that the god of Muhammad was man's creation. Arabia was a pagan nation
that worshiped over 300 gods. One of those was the moon god named, al-ilah.
Legend has it that the moon god mated with the sun god and had two daughters,
both of whom were worshiped as goddesses. When Muhammad claimed to have had his
'vision' and 'revelation from Gabriel' he chose al-ilah as the god to
build his army around.

Muhammad shortened the name, al-ilah, to, Allah, and declared
that he alone should be worshipped. He forbade the worship of the daughters. To
this day, a crescent moon can be found at the front over every mosque,
acknowledging that Allah was, and is the moon god. All of this is missing from
the Houghton-Mifflin accounts.

It is also to be noted, even thought not publicized, that
Allah is also known as, The God of War. So why isn't this important study of
Islam included in the history books?...

Muhammad is portrayed as an extremely moral man who wanted a
society of purity. A vast body of historical accounts will refute this image.
Historians will show that he had multiple wives, a sexual problem, and among his
wives, he took a 10-year-old girl for his pleasure (some accounts list her age
as 6).

And Islam promises its followers that those who become
suicide bombers, killing themselves and others, will go directly to Allah's
paradise where they will be given 72 virgins for unbridled sexual pleasure for
all of eternity...."

In an article dated December 16, 2001, we read:

"...Islam teaches that God began to reveal Himself to the
Jews, His chosen vessels. He chose to reveal Himself to the world, but the Jews
were stiffnecked and corrupted His revelation. So, God chose Christians instead
and gave them His revelation. The Christians also were hard hearted and
corrupted His revelation. Hence, the Old Testament and the New Testament are
corrupted truth.

Then, God turned to Mohammed and sent the angel Gabriel to
him. (Was it Gabriel or a demonic principality?). God gave Mohammed the final
revelation of the Koran, which connected all that the Jews had corrupted in the
Old Testament and all that the Christians had corrupted in the New Testament.
So, Islam has three holy books: the Old Testament, the New Testament, and the
Koran. But, you can't trust the Old Testament and the New Testament, only the
Koran, according to Islam..."

We must ask the question, whom was it spoke to Mohammed? This
article goes on and on, but when we reach the end of it, we read:

"There was a remarkable man in Iran, called the Ayatollah
Khomeini. Ayatollah means 'oracle of God.' This man was quite remarkable.
For years he expounded Islam, saying 'the Koran teaches us that Islam will
conquer the world in the last days. We are in the last days; therefore, in the
days when Islam will conquer the whole world.' He taught that Allah is angry
with the lukewarmness of the Islamic masses, and thus produced Israel as a
judgement upon them. He taught that God will use Israel as a catalyst to make
the Islamic masses 100% devoted. When that happens, he taught, Israel will be a
stepping stone to the destruction of the U.S. and the West. This was 30 or 40
years ago that he taught these things...

Bin Laden believes that the time has come for this last war
spoken of in the Koran, and he is appealing to all Muslims to join. He may lose
this phase of the battle, but he said that if he is killed, 1,000 Osama bin
Ladens will rise in his place...

There are currently 5 million Muslims in France, 4 million in
Germany, 4 million in the United Kingdom, and 7 million in America. All these
are citizens of these countries. Remember what the Muslim agenda is -– world
domination..." (emphasis added).

In an article entitled "Airline Safety", sent to us on
January 31, 2002, we read the following interesting remarks:

"...To ensure we never offend anyone -– particularly
fanatics intent on killing us -– airport screeners will not be allowed to
profile people.

They will continue random searches of 80-year-old women,
little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, Secret Service agents
who are members of the President's security detail and 85-year old Congressmen
with metal hips.

Pause a moment and take the following test:

In 1979, the U.S. Embassy in Iran was taken over by:

1. Norwegians from Ballard;
2. Elvis;
3. A tour bus full of 80-year-old women; or
4. Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1983, the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by:

1. A delivery boy;
2. Crazed feminists screeching that being able to throw a
   grenade beyond its own burst radius was an unfair and sexist requirement in
   basic training;
3. Geraldo Rivera making up for a slow news day; or
4. Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by:

1. Luca Brazzi, for not being given a part in 'Godfather 2';
2. The Tooth Fairy;
3. Butch and Sundance who had a few sticks of dynamite left
   over from the train thing; or
4. Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

In 1998, the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed
by:

1. Mr Rogers;
2. Hillary, to distract attention from Wee Willie's women
   problems;
3. The WWF, to promote its next villain: 'Mustapha the
   Merciless'; or
4. Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked and destroyed by:

1. Bugs Bunny
2. The Supreme Court of Florida trying to outdo their
   hijacking of the 2000 Presidential election;
3. Mr Bean, or
4. Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40.

How'd you do? Did you detect a pattern that would indicate
we'd better take a close look at a certain type of individual who might be
boarding an airplane with something on his mind other than 'What's the movie
on this flight?'

You think so?....

Pardon me while I go bang by head against the wall. Maybe
that'll help me understand."

On page 133 of our book, The Devil's Jigsaw, we
quote the Time magazine article, December 1 1997, entitled "America the
Vulnerable."

This magazine quoted Louis Farrakhan, U.S. leader of the
Nation of Islam speaking in Tehran. 'You can quote me. God will destroy
America at the hands of the Muslims.'"

We are grateful to Christian Media Services for sending us
this article on January 30, 2002: "Ex-Radical Muslim Offers Sober View of
Fight Against Terrorism -– Iranian Muslim Reza Safa was once a devout Shiite,
fasting during Ramadan and praying five times a day facing Mecca. Then he heard
the gospel for the first time as a student in Sweden, and his life changed
dramatically. Having seen the real face of Islam behind closed doors, he doesn't
take the threat facing the West lightly...

While Safa believes the vast majority of Muslims are loving,
hospitable people, percentages become significant when discussing over one
billion Muslims worldwide. 'Pakistan has 120 million Muslims,' he says. 'Out
of that 10-15 percent are the radical Muslims -– the Taliban variety.'....

'We may not be at war with Islam, but they are at war with
us,' he adds....

'Communism wasn't in the hearts of the people. But Islam
is in their hearts -– it goes much deeper.'

At the heart of Islam is works-based righteousness. 'They
work so hard to please God,' he says. 'The pinnacle of that law is
martyrdom.' Martyrdom is the only way to assure one's salvation...

The suicide bombers of 9-11 are another case in point. 'These
people are already dead before they attack us,' Safa says. 'They have
decided to commit suicide, so you can't scare them with force.'

Some argue the true spirit of Islam is not militant, but Safa
disagrees. 'The Koran is an extremely violent book,' he says. 'Islam
(outwardly) portrays righteousness, goodness, compassion, helping the needy and
the poor,' he says. 'But beneath the skin is all this hatred and violence
and bondage and fear.'...

(We at this newspaper, the Omega Times, wish all
readers to take note of this next section which is really the key to all these
arguments):

'The West will realize this is beyond our ability to fight,'
he says. In response to the growing threat from radical Islam, people will
turn toward world government for collective security.

Because political and military solutions will fail, the only
answer in Safa's eyes is to join the battle in the spiritual dimension.
'The politicians don't know how to tackle this because it's beyond their
zone,' he says. 'You can't fight a demonic force with swords or weapons.
You have to battle in the same arena they are battling.'

'Nobody can overcome them by natural means,' he says. 'But
spiritually we can if the church rises up and prays and binds these spirits. We
need to bind these bloodthirsty religious spirits.'....

'We have serious days ahead of us,' he says. 'But it is
good for the gospel. Fear has gotten a hold of people and the only way to
beat it is the power of faith.'..." (emphasis added).

To which we at this newspaper say, Praise the Lord.
