New Zealand students among the best
If anybody needs further proof that the whole world system is
flying apart, they should read this article from the Dominion newspaper,
6 December 2001, where we read: "NZ students among the best -– Principals
were delighted to be told yesterday that New Zealand students were among the best
in the world, with new research refuting the myth that literacy levels are
plummeting....
Our students were twice as likely to be at the top level of
reading literacy, about one in five, compared with an international average of
one in 10 students....
Though most New Zealand students were doing very well, the
study found there were still 'far too many' students reading at
below one of the lowest levels....
New Zealand ranked third behind Finland and Canada in overall
literacy..." (emphases added).
Having been a schoolteacher myself for 15 years and observed
the decline of standards over the years, I find it very difficult to believe the
outcome of these so-called studies, as reported in the article.
In spite of this false report, it is to be noted that some
years ago, we were holding meetings in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we met a
Christian Child Psychologist at one of our seminars. He informed us that the "look
and say" (look and guess) method used in today's education system was
originally designed for deaf and dumb children, and then was incorporated in the
national syllabus, and later, the international syllabus for education
throughout the world. It is for this reason that not only have thousands of
children lost the opportunity to learn to read while they were young, but this
has also bred a lot of dyslexic children, who don't understand the meaning of
phonics.
All this of course, comes under the Mystery of Iniquity, for
uneducated and untaught children who can't read are going to be very pliable
in the hands of the Anti Christ system which is now being formed.
Therefore any reports that come out along that line, are best
to be ignored by those of us who really understand the world's condition at
this time.
It is our recommendation that parents teach their children
phonics in the privacy of their own homes, so that they will have the advantage
over those poor children who have been conned by a wicked education system.
We also recommend that Bible readings be conducted evening by
evening, with the family seated around the table, discussing each verse, little
by little, until the family has become very familiar with the Word of God.
A set of Scriptures from Deuteronomy 6:5-7 should be studied
by every Christian father:
"And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart,
and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command
thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently
unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and
when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up."
Remember, the family that prays together, stays together.
