Taliban devils out to hang Christians
"Eight foreign aid workers on trial in Afghanistan for
allegedly preaching Christianity could be hanged if found guilty, according to
Taliban Chief Justice Mawlawi Noor Mohammad Saqib. Agence
France-Presse/Associated Press reported from Islamabad, Pakistan, that the
Taliban leader said, 'We will punish them according to the laws they have
broken. If they have broken the law and should be hanged then we will punish
them like that.' Diplomats from the defendants' countries -– the U.S,
Australia and Germany -– were not allowed in the courtroom during the trial.
The Taliban regime in Afghanistan is currently harboring
arch-terrorist Bin Laden, believed to be responsible for last week's
cataclysmic attacks in New York and Washington. A delegation of Pakistani
leaders left today for Afghanistan to encourage their neighbors to turn over Bin
Laden to the U.S. within 72 hours." This Arutz-7 News article was sent
to us on 17 September 2001, and immediately a scripture comes to mind from the
book of Revelation 12:11 which every believer in Jesus Christ needs to learn by
heart as it could apply to each one of us in these days.
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the
word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death."
Please believe me that things will not always be as they are
at this moment in the western world. We are rapidly moving into a period where
the pressure is coming on believers, and we will have to make up our minds that
we will not quote the verse and leave out the last part about loving our lives
unto the death.
Many others are being killed for their faith around the world
today and therefore why should believers in the Western world feel that they
would escape all these things?
May God give us grace to be steadfast unmovable unto the end
and know that He will stand with us through life and ultimately if necessary,
through death.
Please pray for those dear folk, that they may have strength
to stand strong during this terrible hour.
