From the Editor
November -– where didst thou come from? Another season comes
around and we continue our sojourn through life. There has been plenty of world
action this month, Israel remains in a very precarious situation, the US
elections remain unsettled - confounded by legalities (surprise, surprise) I'm
on crutches....
My daughter broke her arm a few days ago and as we sat in the
accident and emergency department of the hospital feeling a little 'put out'
by a tough week, a dear man passed on into the next life in the cubicle next to
us. As I looked at his pale 'shell' I knew that at that moment he wasn't
dead at all -– only from earth, he was not really far away - just in a new
realm, face to face with his creator to give account for his time here. I've
witnessed death numerous times, and I want to make sure the Comforter is very
close when the time comes for me, or any of my loved ones to make the
transition. His Presence and open arms make the whole earthly finale just
a further step of faith!
On a more lively note, Saskia and I have almost completed
work on our first music recording in eight years. The album called 'Now &
Then' is a compilation of a lot of the songs we've performed on past
projects plus some of our latest writings. We're thrilled with the final
result. If you enjoy easy listening, meditational music with strong harmonies
and a positive message of hope -– feel free to drop us a line to order a CD or
cassette. In the meantime, have a great month -– keep some energy for December.
