Mahathir of Malaysia
In an article written up in our newspaper, The Omega Times
some time ago, we mentioned the popularity of Prime Minister Mahathir in his
home country Malaysia. In spite of the fact that many enemies would like to get
rid of him, he still retains power.
We quote from the Spotlight, January 17 2000, in part. A
principled, fearless and wise populist statesman has defined all the predators
and parasites of the so-called global economy and led his nation to
victory over seemingly unstoppable forces. Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir
Mohamad has survived and actually prospered over the International
Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the UN, Wall street, the U.S. State
Department and a mob of marauding international financiers trailing billionaire
speculator George Soros
.
By contrast, every Southeast Asian government that accepted
the tutelage of the IMF and the World Bank has been ousted. Their economies
still in the doldrums, while Malaysia has fully recovered with its stock market
and some business sectors enjoying a mini-boom.
To understand the significance of Mahathirs achievement,
it is necessary to turn the clock back to the spring of 1997, when a wolf pack
of cosmopolitan financiers raided and destroyed the national currencies of
several hardworking Southeast Asian countries
The Malaysian government refused the emergency loan offers of
the IMF and the World Bank because these credits were tied to so called structural
adjustments that bailed out the bankers but condemned the workers to
starvation.
Dr. Mahathir told the entire global financial
Establishment to get lost,
Instead of handing over the reins of his nations economy
to the IMF and the World Bank, Mahathir clamped down on runaway speculation and
currency manipulation with a series of nationalistic decrees
The global money markets reacted by declaring war on
Malaysia. Dr. Mahathir, stop complaining and struggling against the current
of globalization, warned Thomas Friedman, chief foreign affairs columnist of The
New York Times. Otherwise, the herd will trample you, you cannot buck it.
But the populist Malaysian Prime minister kept on struggling
to save his nation and won. End Quote.
During a lecture tour of the city of Kuala Lumpur at the
end of 1999, I was able to assure my very large audience that their Prime
Minister was to be commended as he has done what other Prime Ministers should
have done, tell the IMF to get lost, and thus put an end to their trickery and
stealing of National Sovereignty. The Word of God calls this World Government
plan by the title, The Mystery of Iniquity.
Referring to a great world leader who will arise shortly
whose name is Antichrist, we quote herewith from the Word of God in II Thessalonians 2:6-7. And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be
revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work, only he who
now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
With the World Trade Organisation catching China out we can
now see that this will establish their power more firmly and cause other
countries also to go along with the plan.
The question may now be asked, what should born-again
believers do in these most exciting days?
The answer is found in II Chronicles 7:14, If my people,
which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my
face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will
forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
If ever there was a day where Christians need to pray it is
now. The devil himself is coming down to establish his kingdom on earth just
before Jesus comes to establish a real kingdom and He will reign for ever and
ever in righteousness with all who trust in Him.
